Nvidia's Quadro family gets new channel

Leadtek will partner with Nvidia to produce workstation graphics cards for the Quadro family of products. It has been a convoluted road to market for the Quadro cards - Nvidia's previous partner, Elsa, went into receivership last year and the hunt began for new partners. Leadtek hopes to get exclusive manufacturing and distribution rights for the Quadro family for the Asia-Pacific region. In Australia, the cards are distributed by Rectron Electronics and BCN Technology.

Prices range from $499 for the Quadro4 200 NVS card to $2,999 for the Quadro4 900 XGL card, which features 128MB DDR SDRAM, dual-monitor connectors, OpenGL stereo connectors and unified driver architecture. The cards support Windows XP, Windows 2000 and Windows NT operating systems and are available immediately.
