Unixpac fills the security gaps with Breach

New vendor offers products addressing server and Web 2.0 application security

Security distributor, Unixpac, has brought on Breach Security products to combat breaches with web-based appliances.

Breach is one of several security vendors the company has taken on in recent months. The list also includes [ArtID:824857473|TriGeo|New]] and network security appliance vendor, Bivio Networks.

Unixpac managing director, Tom Piotrowski, said Breach was important to the overall portfolio as it was the first vendor that could address increasing concerns around remote servers/Web 2.0 security.

"It's an important technology and Breach has made some inroads into the market, having built up a small reseller base itself. We've inherited it to manage a build on," Piotrowski said.

Unixpac's initial goal would be to raise awareness through tradeshows and seminars, while also offering pre-sales support and training.

"As a value-adding distributor we're looking to place the Breach product with our scenarios and upselling to our existing reseller base," Piotrowski said. "There's not a lot of competition for this product out there so we're betting on it expanding our reseller base substantially."
