Multimedia Technology purchasing manager, Michael Muscat, has resigned after two years at the distributor to pursue other interests. He will leave the company later this month.
Managing director, John Hassall said Muscat leaves on amicable terms and the company has no immediate plans to replace him.
"At this stage we have not advertised for a replacement," he said. "Our management team is planning to spend the next couple of months identifying the skill set we need to help take our company into its next phase of development."
Meanwhile, Phil Jackson will join the distributor as its marketing manager.
"Phil's primary responsibility will be to work with our vendors to develop and implement joint business plans," Hassall said.
Jackson was previously the CEO of Digiland Australia, CEO of United Electrical Group (UEG) and has also worked for Westan.
Muscat has a long history in the distribution channel. Before joining MMT, he was general manager for Magnafield Technology Distribution and, prior to that, the managing director of BBF, which was acquired by Bluechip Infotech in 2003.
