Storage vendor EMC has announced plans to "ramp up" its channel, predicting a growth in information storage products and services.
The push includes EMC's Symmetrix Enterprise Storage and CLARiiON storage solutions.
Previously, Symmetrix was mainly sold direct, but is now to be sold through SIs, ISVs and resellers. CLARiiON is being sold solely through EMC's resellers.
Ian Hamilton, EMC's director of alliances and partners Australia/NZ, said the market for information storage products and services was expanding at a phenomenal rate.
He said this provided opportunities for its resellers. "That is why we are accelerating our channel activities - so EMC and its partners are better positioned to capitalise on the opportunities ahead of us."
