SnapGear signs with filtering software vendor

Brisbane-born network hardware manufacturer SnapGear has signed a global software licensing and distribution agreement with Cerberian, a software developer focused on Internet filtering and reporting.

SnapGear's line of Internet appliances, which provide businesses with firewall protection, quality of service rules and VPN capability, will now be able to be used by IT staff to manage and report on employee Internet use.

The integration of such technologies is aimed at small businesses and the branch offices of medium-sized and large companies that wish to cut out inefficient or inappropriate Internet usage by employees.
