South Australia-based software distributor, Saratoga Distribution, has signed on as a national agent for CRM and contact centre software vendor, Maximiser.
Saratoga director, Ivar Stanelis, said it had been carrying Maximiser's SoHO product, Enterpreneur, for several years.
The vendor's recent decision to expand its product line and introduce Group and Professional versions had raised the opportunity to extend its relationship and become a national distributor, he said.
Maximiser also maintains a network of enterprise partners focused on providing professional services around its top-tier Enterprise product for up to 1000 users.
Maximiser general manager, Peter Simons, said it was looking to get more product exposure across Australia. While direct implementation partners were good at a state level, it needed an organisation focused on marketing and sales efforts, he said.
The vendor's other national agents are Insight and recently appointed ICT Distribution.
"Saratoga was happy to become a national agent of all the products we provide. That means expanding Maximiser to a greater number of people at the higher end of the market," Simons said. "Saratoga provides us with greater exposure across that channel group. In the past we've been more of an add-on CRM sale - we're seeing the need to move higher up the chain."
The new deal comes a few months after Saratoga signed on as a distributor for Australia-based accounting vendor, MYOB. It is now carrying the vendor's accounting and retail business management products.
MYOB general manager for business division, Chris Pattas, said Saratoga was a solid corporate fit with his division.
