MIP has appointed Walldorf Technology Group as a systems integration partner for Informatica's data integration platform in South Australia.
As part of the agreement, South Australian supplier of business intelligence solutions Walldorf will become an "Informatica Centre of Excellence" in Adelaide. The Centre will provide local Informatica customers with support and installation services, as well advice on how to best utilise the product in their specific environments.
According to David Harding, managing director of Walldorf Technology Group, Asia Pacific, the Informatica ETL suite is the world's leading second-generation ETL (extraction, transformation and loading) tool. The product allows users to extract information from an application's database, manipulate it, transform it and move it to a different location (or data warehouse). The user then applies reporting tools to view that information from a management perspective rather than an operational perspective.
Master distributor for Informatica in Australia and New Zealand, MIP hopes to benefit from Walldorf's existing relationships within the government sector. According to Jackie Harper, MIP's business development manager, the partnership will strengthen the position of both companies in South Australia's business intelligence solutions space.
"Strengthening Informatica resources in South Australia will help both companies collaboratively deliver and support powerful solutions for leading enterprises throughout the region," she said.
