Computer manufacturer and distributor, Also Technology, has assembled a new line of customisable PCs.
Called eVogue, the all-in-one machines will be available with a standard LCD or touchscreen monitor, which will come in 15-, 17- and 22-inch screen sizes. The PCs come with Intel Core 2 Duo processor, Seagate hard disk drive, double display functionality, Windows Vista, Kingston memory and Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse.
The15-inch model with standard LCD monitor will retail for $1499, while the touchscreen version will be priced at $1899. The 22-inch device, which includes higher specs than the 15- and 17-inch models, will retail for $2599 with a touchscreen.
Also Technology general manager, Ming Ho, said customers had a choice of components.
"We have standard PCs and if customers want they can upgrade the CPU memory or hard drive," she said. "If customers don't need their machines to be so powerful right now, they have a choice to upgrade it later on.
"We started bringing in the new range earlier this month and we've already sold most of our stock."
The new machines will be available to Also's 4000 strong reseller network and are targeted towards the home automation, financial, hospitality, education and corporate markets, Ho said.
"Home automation is becoming very popular in Australia right now and customers need to have something that's more than a normal PC," she said. "Customers can wall mount the screen and they also use a Dvico USB TV tuner that comes with both digital and analogue functionality. There's a whole load options for customers.
"It's quite an exciting range and the customer feedback has been very positive so far."
