Ricoh is set to offer smaller companies a digital document-handling solution with the launch of the Aficio 1013F in January. With small and home offices accounting for a large part of the Australian market, Ricoh is aiming to provide a system that can adapt to many different office platforms. The Aficio 1013F is a multifunctional machine and features 600dpi black-and-white copying and Ricoh's Super G3 fax. It also features the PCL 6 printing option with 16MB capacity, which can be upgraded to 144MB. The machine also has the smallest installation footprint in its class, according to Ricoh. The Aficio 1013F has a top printing speed of 13 pages per minute and a first-copy speed of eight seconds as well as separate one-touch keys for oft-accessed functions. A 250-sheet paper tray has also been incorporated inside the box and a standard 100-sheet bypass tray and optional 500-sheet paper tray are also available. Print jobs can be monitored from the desktop using SmartNetMonitor software and the machine has collation finishing and watermarking functionality. The Aficio 1013F will retail for $3800.
