Intel will take the wrappers off its Flex + rewards program and online reseller hub, Let's Talk Business, next month.
The online portal will provide resellers and retailers with up to date information on how to sell to small businesses and consumers. It also includes access to an online store where partners can order free point-of-sale materials, sales tools, training and marketing information. It's aimed at VARs and resellers within the SMB space.
"This is just going downstream to resellers that sell to SMB and keeping them updated with the latest technology and product information," Intel A/NZ area sales manager, Thomas Tapsas, said.
The Flex + program was announced earlier this year at the chipmaker's system builder summit in Bangkok. The points-based program allows partners to redeem points for business travel vouchers, demonstration units and access to Intel consultants.
Tapsas said the Flex + program was only open to Premier and Associate channel partners.
"That may change in the future. We've got the flexibility of tailoring this program, which really makes sense because this business moves fast," he said. "We haven't had a rewards program for a while and Flex has been a year and a half in the making."
Locally Intel has about 3000 partners, according to Tapsas.
"Our top 50 customers probably do over 60 per cent of our business," he added.
Both the program and the online hub will be officially launched at Intel's channel conference in July.
"Every year we have our channel conference and we usually cover every city and invite our key resellers to hear about our latest and greatest products, but now we've done something different," Tapsas said. "This year the conference will focus on how to become a managed services provider."
The conference will be held in Sydney on July 17 and in Melbourne on July 22.
