Toshiba has introduced a new high-value LCD multimedia projector series to its line-up. The TLP 550/551 and TLP 250/251 incorporate newly developed short-throw lens technology, which allows clear projection in confined spaces. Aimed at business applications as well as for use in the educational and home theatre markets, the projectors feature 1100 ANSI lumen brightness in PAL, NTSC and SECAM signals. The TLP 250 series features a 800x600 SVGA display while XGA 1024x768 resolution is available in the TLP 550 series. Digital keystone correction and freeze-frame capability are standard. The 551 and 251 models also include a built-in 810,000-pixel digital colour document camera for the projection of written materials and 3D objects directly from the surface of the projector. The projectors are distributed through Audio Visual Australia, with prices of $8692 and $10348 for the TLP 500 and 551 respectively, and $6599 and $8689 for the TLP 250 and 251.
