Asset management software developer Hardcat has struck a significant deal with giant outsourcing group EDS, being called in as a sub-contractor for the services giant's $750 million outsourcing tender with the Australian Taxation Office. EDS won the conditional tender under the government directive that EDS help local IT companies become involved in its global solutions portfolio. Hardcat's software will thus be sold through EDS channels in Asia, the US, the UK and Europe. Hardcat managing director Dan Drum expects the company to yield around $30 million as a result.
