Ingram Micro has signed an agreement to distribute Pumatech's Intellisync software. The software provides two-way synchronisation of calendar, e-mail, contacts and tasks between handheld devices and applications such as Microsoft Outlook, Lotus Notes and Organizer, Novell GroupWise and ACT!. Ingram said the move is a strategic push into wireless handheld devices, while US-based Pumatech hopes to leverage Ingram's presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Ingram has announced a special promotion on the back of the agreement: the reseller that purchases the most Pumatech product by January 31, 2002 will win a DVD player valued at $500.
