When Melbourne-based accounting reseller Attsoft Business Systems saw an opportunity to sell a lot of ACCPAC software in NSW, it went on the acquisition trail, picking up fellow accounting reseller E-Access for an undisclosed sum.
Under the terms of the agreement, Attsoft will retain all six staff from E-Access and establish its head office in Sydney. Michael Tucker, Attsoft founder and managing director, will also relocate to Sydney to oversee the new operation.
"Sydney is increasingly the Asia-Pacific hub for multinationals and Attsoft, with its business-qualified and IT-qualified consultants, along with ACCPAC solutions which offer multilingual and multi-currency capabilities, is well positioned to service international organisations establishing regional headquarters here," said Tucker.
According to a statement released by Attsoft, E-Access is the largest reseller of accounting vendor Attaché Software in NSW, with customers such as AGL and Doyles Seafood restaurants. Although Steve Csikos, Attsoft's general manager, said the company will continue to drive Attaché sales in NSW, its strategic focus will be selling ACCPAC software to larger customers with revenues of over $5 million per annum in the manufacturing sector.
