hub joins the club

Among the founding members of the new association, which includes Hewlett-Packard and, is an outsourced IT services company hailing from sunny Sydney named hub information technology.

According to the new consortium, an MSP differs from an ASP (Application Service Provider) as it provides its customers with an entire IT infrastructure on a subscription basis.

New boys at Citrix

Citrix Systems has announced a channel management reshuffle, appointing Sean Walsh as its channel development manager for Victoria, South Australia and Tasmania. Walsh was formerly Express Data's national Citrix business manager.

Nick Reavell has also been appointed as account manager for the ACT region to aid resellers in grabbing a slice of public sector opportunities. As part of the reshuffle, Tim Blumentals has left his current post to become channel manager for New South Wales.

Accenture's .Net tools

Accenture will soon announce a toolkit to help corporate users quickly develop and deploy applications that take advantage of Microsoft's .Net enterprise server platform.

The starter toolkit contains application frameworks, developer guides tools and training modules.

The kit contains a repeatable process for building component-based Web applications that enables a company to train its developers to build .Net applications and to leverage its abilities across a range of projects.
