ZoneLabs has rolled out an Internet security solution, dubbed the ZoneAlarm Security Suite 5.5. The software protects consumers and small business users from a wide range of Internet-borne threats, including hackers, viruses, spyware, online fraud and spam. By integrating Zone Labs' firewall with antivirus, website filtering, privacy protection, instant messaging security and now anti-phishing and anti-spam technology by MailFrontier, the ZoneAlarm Security Suite 5.5 provides all-in-one PC protection, according to the company. Swivel Secure PINsafe M2F
Swivel Secure has released PINsafe M2F, a software based two-factor authentication system designed to enhance enterprise network security and protect the identity of individual users during the login procedure. Using a fixed variable length PIN and a randomly generated 10-digit security string sent to a mobile device or Web browser users are able to generate a one-time pass code for each authentication attempt. The system operates using a light weight authentication server which can be integrated with a wide range of network technologies including SSL VPN and Firewall systems to enable secure remote login from any location using a Web browser interface. PINsafe M2F has a range of user interface options which can be defined at set up by the systems administrator according to the corporate security policy. No additional client software or token system is needed which means it is extremely easy to implement and has a minimal support overhead. The product is supplied as either a locked down Linux appliance (SAA 200) or as software only for installation on a Windows, Linux or Solaris server. VeriSign has launched a Unified Authentication Service solution that helps enterprises that frequently deploy multiple authentication mechanisms to address diverse needs within and beyond an organisation's network. Some of the most common scenarios that increasingly require strong authentication are remote access, Windows logon, wireless LAN access and critical application or data access, according to the company. Provisioning and managing strong authentication mechanisms like one-time passwords (OTPs), USB tokens and public key infrastructure (PKI) could be a complex and costly task, the company said. VeriSign Unified Authentication reduces this complexity and cost by providing a single, scalable platform for managing all types of two-factor authentication credentials. Built on VeriSign's global trust network, this open platform enables enterprises to strongly authenticate virtually any user, device or application on any network. VeriSign Unified Authentication also enables encryption, digital signing and auditing which enables organisations to capitalise on their authentication investment to cover requirements for secure commerce and communications with regard to privacy and non-repudiation. Sun Microsystems has released the Sun Java System Identity Auditor, an identity audit solution for helping to improve audit and compliance performance. Juniper Networks has released the latest version of its NetScreen Secure Access 1000 Series of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) products. The SA 1000 Series is designed to enable small-to-medium-sized companies to deploy cost-effective remote access, extranet and intranet security and manage identity management solutions all from a single platform. It enables users to securely access corporate applications and resources from any standard Web browser and offers user self-service features to lower helpdesk support costs. The SA 1000 Series has rich access privilege management functionality to create secure customer and/or partner extranets with no infrastructure changes, no service network deployments and no software agents. It also enables the enterprise to securely access the corporate intranet, so that different employee and visitor populations can utilise exactly the resources they need while adhering to enterprise security and identity management policies.
