Syntegra rubs Genie for B2B

Syntegra, a systems integration company owned by British Telecommunications, has signed a reseller agreement with B2B software developer Genie Systems.

The partnership will see Syntegra offer Genie's flagship collaborative e-commerce software OrderWare.

Genie claims OrderWare enables Web-based order entry, workflow management, supply-chain management and internal procurement.

Putting IT back 2001

This month sees the return of the annual Starlight Children's Foundation and Giant Steps campaign for needy children.

The goal is to top the $502,000 raised by 43 IT companies last year, with employees of the IT community contributing a day's pay to the campaign. The employee's company is then implored to match the amount raised by its staff.

The money raised will go to the Starlight Foundation's Make a Wish program as well as the development of a virtual private network for seriously ill children.

Powerlan powers PC migration

Powerlan has struck a deal with US-based PC migration software developer Miramar Systems which the ASX-listed integrator hopes will complement its sales of Windows 2000.

Powerlan will deploy and support Miramar's DNA desktop management product to migrate systems settings, applications setting and data from one Windows PC to another, locally or enterprise wide.

The announcement follows Powerlan's recent release of it own Office Converter software that migrates Microsoft Office databases and macros.
