Hitachi screens on glass

Hitachi screens on glass

A new projector launched by Hitachi Australia boasts it can turn any window or glass surface into a video screen. The On-Glass Projection System includes a data projector and a thin plastic film (photopolymer) which is attached to a clear glass window. The 40 or 60-inch screen prevents light from reflecting away from the glass, ensuring the image can be seen from the outside regardless of lighting conditions.

Hitachi has released two models, CP-980W and CP-985W, that can input data from DVDs, PCs, VCRs and television. The vendor is aiming the product at a host of industries, including retail - for shop-front advertising - through to information displays in public places.

The system is distributed in Australia by IDT. Pricing is available on request.
