SaaS provider looks to build local partner network

Xeequa produces social networking business tools such as social groups, forums and blogs

US-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) vendor, Xeequa, is on the hunt for Australian partners to enhance its local presence.

The vendor launched in the US this year and is expanding its presence in the APAC region through a distribution partnership with newly established Singaporean SaaS specialist, NexGen.

Xeequa provides social business tools that combine a community system with social networking groups, forums and blogs. Xeequa CEO, Axel Schultze, said its target markets are SMBs and corporates.

"What we're doing is helping companies build up social media platforms for their business ecosystem and customers to provide a better experience," he said. "We engaged with NexGen to help us find and identify partners and to help us support them."

At this stage, Schultze said he was interested in attracting a handful of VARs and system integrators that are familiar or interested in entering the SaaS market. As an incentive, partners will be provided with customer leads and will be educated on understanding the whole social media environment.

"We're building our business and a channel for Xeequa and other products," NexGen managing director, Tom Galantomos, said. "We're starting up the business regionally and we wanted to have the most impact."

In February, a Forrester Research analyst claimed resellers must restructure their whole business in order to take advantage of a SaaS model.
