The spies are coming
WebSpy has announced its latest incarnation of Sentinel, the ASX-listed developer's e-mail monitoring software for small businesses.
Sentinel provides business owners with a flexible series of options for how they monitor e-mail use, be it HTTP, SMTP, Telnet or NNTP content.
The new version is available at www.webspy.com and will be shipped to resellers by the end of the month.
Veritas' bundle of Sun
Veritas Software has announced it will bundle its Veritas ServPoint storage software with NAS (network attached storage) systems from Sun Microsystems.
The bundled Veritas/Sun NAS systems will be available through Sun's iForce channel partners. Sun's iForce initiative delivers complete, pre-tuned system, software and service packages to resellers, making deployment of the network bundles simpler and faster for the end users.
Veritas' ServPoint is a comprehensive suite of storage management tools, complete with Veritas' replications software, volume manager file system, cluster server and NetBackup.
IT on wheels
Niche software developer Auto I.T. is set to release a new product and a new service.
Based on the Windows operating system, its new product is UNITS, an integrated dealer management system for medium-to-large dealerships.
UNITS and Auto I.T.'s other software products will now be available to car dealerships via a new ASP (application service provider) service. Named DMS Online, this service will enable dealerships to rent the software which is hosted and managed off-site by an ASP.
