It was all smiles at Centari Systems recently when the systems integrator took out Hewlett-Packard's Dealer of the Year for Australia 2001.
Centari has held the mantle of HP's largest reseller for some time and this award sees Centari account for 25 per cent of all HP revenue through the commercial dealer channel.
"HP has always been a cornerstone of our success - great products, ethical and a good organisation to work with," said Jon Johnston, Centari Systems' managing director.
The award will be the last under the current HP system, with the just completed acquisition of Compaq sure to change the mix for future channel recognition. However, in February Centari hedged its bets on the HP/Compaq merger, taking a more contentious approach to selling Compaq storage and server products.
Some of the highlights of Centari's HP sales include:
- Centari commissions more networking products and workstations than all other dealers combined.
- Centari installs 60 per cent more Netserverfile servers than its nearest competitor.
- Centari provides twice as many Omnibook notebook computers as its nearest competitor.
- Centari installs 50 per cent more colour laser printers than any other company.
