Iomega REV 120GB Backup Drive

This drive represents the third generation of Iomega's REV technology and is designed as a backup solution for small and medium-sized businesses and remote workgroups. Available as either an external USB 2.0 or internal SATA model, the drive comes with a REV 120GB disk and EMC Retrospect Express software for automatic backup and disaster recovery. Iomega also offers REV 120GB Server Kit models that include one REV 120GB drive and five REV 120GB disks along with CA's BrightStor ArcServe Backup software with disaster recovery. The vendor claims the REV Backup Drive offers users more native capacity, near instantaneous random access to files, faster backups and restores and ruggedised removable cartridges. The Iomega REV 120GB Backup Drive is read backwards compatible with REV 70GB disks, allowing REV 70GB drive users a migration path to the new REV 120GB drive and disk platform. It is compatible with PCs and Macs.

Samsung CLX-6210FX

This laser multifunction printer has a colour printing and copying speed of up to 24ppm and a duplex automatic document feeder that enables automatic printing and scanning of double-sided documents. Its USB direct function allows users to print and scan from a USB memory stick without being connected to the network. There's also a wireless networking option. The CLX-6210FX is bundled with applications including Samsung SmarThru for document management, SyncThru to improve network device management and security solutions. There's also an optional 80GB hard drive and the capability for administrators to manage all print jobs on a multi-user network. The CLX-6210FX prints at a resolution of 2400dpi and has a 250-sheet paper tray, 360MHz processor and 128MB/384MB of RAM. The vendor claims the printer has an operating cost of $0.118 cents per page.

AVLabs 971 Digital Photo Frame

The AVLabs Digital Photo Frame has an 11-inch widescreen LCD screen and is Bluetooth enabled, allowing users to wirelessly upload images from similarly enabled devices such as mobile phones or notebooks. The frame has 256MB of internal memory and features built-in double 2-watt audio stereo speakers. It supports JPEG, MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, MPEG4, AVI and ASF image and video formats. Users can create their own slideshows with various speed options ranging from five minutes to one hour and set each to music. These can run automatically or on repeat. The frame is compatible with a range of memory cards including SD, MMC, MS, CF and XD formats and is available with USB 2.0 as an alternative to Bluetooth. Other features include a built-in timer, alarm clock, calendar, adjustable brightness and contrast and a wireless remote control for navigation. The frame displays images at a 4:3 ratio and at a resolution of 800 x 480.
