Hosting and digital infrastructure provider, BlueCentral, has made a raft of new appointments to accelerate its growth plans for the new financial year.
Ross Dour has come on-board as chief technology officer and will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the company's technology strategy. He will also instigate the launch of new product offerings. Prior to joining BlueCentral, Dour worked for BlueFreeway.
Simon Foster has been recruited as services director. He covered the delivery of support services and datacentre operations, BlueCentral managing director, Anthony Banek, said. Previously, Foster held a range of management positions at online advertising vendor, DoubleClick, and was director of advertising technology services for Lycos Europe.
"We've moved our support centre from our Melbourne operations to Sydney. Simon has come on-board to improve and maintain our service levels and our customer service experience," he said.
James Leitch has taken on the general manager's post for BlueCentral's hosting and SaaS products. His resume includes stints with HP, Microsoft and IBM. He will focus on growing new product areas and managing its enterprise product range, Banek said.
Manjula Kularathne has also joined BlueCentral as its general manager of security products.
Banek said Kularathne will be responsible for launching, creating and prioritising the new range of security products being launched next quarter. Previously, Kularathne was the security architect and manager for ASX-listed Soul Communications and has also worked at Dialog Telekom.
Banek said the new appointments were the foundation for BlueCentral's 2009 growth strategy and took its head count to 45. Banek is continuing to look for more hires as the company launches its new products in key areas such as security, Software-as-a-Service and virtualisation.
