Open Text Appoints Manager for Channel Alliances and Partners for Australia and New Zealand

<p>Sydney, 27 May 2008 - Open Text™ (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), a global leader in enterprise content management (ECM), today announced the appointment of Chris Petersen as Manager for Channel Alliances and Partners for Australia and New Zealand based in Sydney.</p>
<p>Petersen joins Open Text with over ten years’ experience in the IT channel. He will be responsible for driving all aspects of Open Text’s channel business, including sales and solutions strategies and market development. He is also responsible for management of current partners for Open Text’s existing enterprise content management solutions.</p>
<p>Prior to joining Open Text, Petersen spent two years as Director of Alliances for Australia and New Zealand with salesforce.com. During this time, he developed the company’s local relationships with Google and Accenture, and grew the partner base from eight to 118 partners.</p>
<p>Previous experience also includes six years at IBM where he held several roles, including Linux Business Development Manager for ANZ, Rational Software Channels Manager and Technology Manager for ISV and Developer Relations.</p>
<p>Petersen has also been a Systems Engineer with Lotus and was Internet Business Manager for Digital Equipment Corporation. He has a Bachelors Degree in Project Management and Economics from the University of Canberra.</p>
<p>Open Text’s channel partners in Australia include Logica, Knowledge Partners, KM Centric, WindowLogic and Alphawest. Open Text’s channel partner in New Zealand is Techtonics.</p>
