Security camera vendor, Axis Communications, is looking to double its reseller base as it launches an enhanced channel program locally.
The new program applies across Axis' entire product line and involves enhanced margins, lead sharing, early product information and technical and sales training.
"Our channel partner program is designed to provide workflows and education across all levels of partners and we're making a substantial investment in education," Axis country manager, Wai King Wong, said.
Axis runs a three-tier partner program starting with Authorised Partner. Value-added resellers gain additional benefits at a Solution Silver Partner level, while top tier Solution Gold Partners need to complete the vendor's education program and demonstrate exceptional business performance.
Wong said an industry shift away from analogue to digital technology meant partners required different technological skills in areas such as progressive scan, megapixel cameras and storage and compression.
"The idea of our education programs is to teach IT resellers where and why to place cameras," Wong said.
The vendor currently has 200 resellers in Australia. Wong said it was looking for 400 partners by the end of the year.
Axis is also expanding its Australian presence to accommodate the channel push. The vendor is looking to establish a Sydney office in the next week, which will be staffed by two new appointments with sales and technical backgrounds.
