321 Studios announced DVD X Point in Australia

 • 11 December, 2003 10:23

Sydney (December 11, 2003) - 321 Studios, already the leader in DVD backup and recovery software, has established itself as an innovator in business communication software with the Australian release of award-winning DVD X Point, available now through retailers nationwide.

DVD X Point lets customers "cut the cord" to their laptops and projectors. It turns a PowerPoint presentation into a DVD movie that can be played on TV with almost every DVD player, so users can take their presentations on the road but leave the bulky hardware behind.

"DVD X Point is the only product available on store shelves today that allows the customer this kind of freedom," said Rob Semaan, the Sydney-born and raised CEO of 321 Studios, which is headquartered in St Louis, US. "DVD X Point literally 'lightens the load' for our customers. They can now go on the road with their presentations without dragging along a laptop or projector."

DVD X Point also allows users to send PowerPoint presentations to almost anyone with a DVD player, without worrying about their particular hardware-software combination.

"No fonts, no PowerPoint, no PC - no worries!" said Semaan. "With DVD X Point, our customers can send their presentations to anyone who has a DVD player that's equipped to play DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW or DVD+RW media - that's almost every new DVD player - as well as to anyone with a PC that can play DVD movies. DVD is the fastest growing playback format in history, and DVD X Point puts your presentations at the peak of this wave."

After converting a presentation with DVD X Point, the user can control its playback using the DVD player's remote control. The converted presentation automatically retains all the fonts, images, transitions and navigation elements of the original. Despite the complexity of what DVD X Point achieves, the experience for the user is as straightforward as clicking Convert To DVD and inserting a blank disc into their DVD burner.
