OWLink Digital Light Link

This transmitter/receiver set uses optical wave division multiplexing (WDM) to transmit uncompressed audio and video over a single transparent fibre cable. The DLI interface, which includes patented technology, allows the transmission of high-speed HD digital video, audio, IR remote control information, USB, LAN, RS232 and other control and data information through a transparent 'fish line' thickness fibre. The device is capable of transmitting the data over distances of up to 300m. Having been designed for both home and commercial applications, this allows the Digital Light Link to be placed in convenient places without having to open walls to pull cables around. Intel has given its approval to specifications for transmitting High Definition Digital Content Protection (HDCP) video signals over OWLink's DLI Fiber Optic Links for Encrypted High Definition Video Transmissions. OWLink has two models available: The entry-level FO2800 and the FO2850.
