Australian memory module manufacturer Legend Performance Technology has consolidated its position internationally in the market, joining a worldwide certification program which will ensure compatibility with some of the industry's most popular components vendors.
Legend has joined the Memory Module Certification program of Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL), an independent testing laboratory. Under the program, Legend's standard and server memory modules will be tested for cross-platform compatibility on desktop and server motherboards from manufacturers.
Bradley Dowe, Legend's vice president of sales, said independent motherboard compatibility testing was particularly important for the reseller channel and white-box market.
"Even with our high level of engineering, manufacturing and testing capabilities, Legend recognises the need for independent motherboard compatibility testing," he said. "This is especially true in the enterprise server market, where Legend has earned a reputation for quality product."
The CMTL testing is not only standard in the US, it is increasingly being recognised globally, Dowe said.
Legend provides memory in the Australian, New Zealand, South African and central European markets.
