ICT Distribution has struck up a deal with Canada-based CRM vendor, Maximizer Software.
MaxMobile allows users to implement a CRM solution on Blackberry and Windows mobile devices. Users can look up records, update information on the device and desktop, and define a pre-set list of contacts, tasks and appointments.
ICT managing director, Ben O'Leary, said the distributor's main focus was on mobility and its dealer base would now have access to an application they could sell on top of handhelds.
ICT has about 650 dealers on its books. O'Leary said he would like to have about 2000 by the end of 2009.
Partners that provide system integration services would be suited to carry the range and would also have access to training courses, O'Leary said.
"They may look after a customer's entire LAN network, and with Maximizer they can also offer a software product to add to their services," he said.
Maximizer general manager, Peter Simons, said ICT was in line with what he was looking for in a distributor.
"They've got mobility devices and Internet access points from Telstra, which fits nicely into the equation," he said.
