Kyocera FS-1300D

This desktop printer delivers 28 pages per minute (ppm) print speed and has a 6-second first page printout time. The FS-1300D comes with 32MB memory as standard, but is upgradeable to 544MB to handle larger document output needs. The printer features a LED panel which has colour indicators to highlight the printer's status, as well as a status monitor. This relays information about the printer directly to the user's desktop. The FS-1300D has 1200dpi print resolution for high quality black and white imaging, a USB 2.0 connection, 250-sheet output/input trays, and a 50-sheet multipurpose tray for alternative media stock such as heavier paper, envelopes and labels. Kyocera is offering an optional 250-sheet paper feeder, giving users a maximum paper capacity of up to 800 sheets, and an optional network interface card which can support IPv6. The vendor has also released the lower-end FS-1100 as a personal desktop device alternative.

Epson EMP-400W

The EMP-400W is capable of projecting a 60-inch widescreen image from 65cm. It can be mounted on a boom attached to a wall, allowing the presenter to stand close to the image and interact with the whiteboard without shadows or lamp glare in the presenter's eyes. The projector comes with Epson's high precision lens, which delivers widescreen (16:10) projection that can fill screens regardless of aspect ratio (4:3, 16:9 and 16:10). The lamp has an 1800 ANSI lumen brightness rating and lasts for up to 4000 hours. Users can connect several EMP-400Ws via a LAN, and operate each individually from a remote PC. If a lamp or temperature anomaly is detected, a notification will be sent via email to the PC. When used in a corporate or school environment, each projector may be turned on or off via the network and monitored from a central facilities management office.

Sony Vaio VGN-FZ35GN

Sony's latest notebook release is designed to suit both business and entertainment users. It has a Clear Bright High Colour LCD 90 15.4-inch screen, and connects to an HD screen via a HDMI connection for presentations and public viewing. The VGN-FZ35GN is based on Intel's Core 2 Duo Processor (2.10GHz) and has 2GB DDR2 SDRAM memory. It can be upgraded to 4GB. This Vaio model has an Nvidia GeForce 8400M chip built-in which provides 128MB of dedicated video memory. It also has LAN IEEE 802.11a/b/g/Draft N wireless capabilities. The notebook has three USB ports, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and a 200GB hard drive. The DSD compatible high quality sound chip called Sound Reality (Intel High Defi nition Audio compatible) drives 3D audio through built-in stereo speakers. The VGN-FZ35GN offers up to two-and-a-half hours battery life, has a 1.3 megapixel Web cam and comes with Windows Vista Business.
