Ozi Computer Wholesale sets up in Victoria

A new PC assembler and wholesaler is setting up in Victoria.

Ozi Computer Wholesale is the brainchild of Nick Bloom, who was previously the general manager of Victorian-based integrator and systems builder, Topstar Computers International.

Ozi will be located in the Victorian suburb of Ferntree Gully. Bloom said in the last 10 years he has seen a lot of wholesalers go out of business, leaving only distributors and retailers in the local market.

"I feel there is a gap in marketplace for people that require service and an all-in-one solution in the market," he said. "We plan to offer credibility and good quality products at a fair price with excellent service."

Ozi's main focus is on building PCs. Bloom said he will stocking components from Gigabyte, Seagate, Intel, AMD, Pioneer, D-Link and Netgear via sub-distribution agreements. Bloom anticipates achieving a $3 million turnover within the first 12 months.

Although the whitebox industry has been in decline in Australia for several years, Bloom said he will be relying on providing good service to win over customers.

The company's website will feature an online ordering, contact details, forms, information downloads and price list that will include component and system pricing with a limited configuration tool. Bloom said the company's website will be kept simple because it was important to maintain face-to-face interaction.
