IPL Communications has been appointed to distribute Verint's Audiolog call recording, evaluation and archiving solutions.
IPL Communications general manager, Paul Scanlan, said the Audiolog range presented strong value-add opportunities around its three primary vendors - Avaya, Alcatel and Siemens.
"It will also take us and our partners into new markets, such as the military, government and smaller enterprise," Scanlan said.
Verint has had a presence in Australia previously and sold directly to high-end enterprises. Scanlan said IPL's appointment represented the first time the Audiolog range had been offered in Australia.
Scanlan said IPL was planning a broad go-to-market strategy for the Audiolog solution as a value-add product offering.
"We're increasing our number of BDMs to 13, which we needed to do in order to address the complexity of the telephony [solutions], effectively communicate with our resellers and develop new channel opportunities," he said.
IPL's services division has also skilled up to install and support the Audiolog solutions and will work with partners who initially lack those resources in-house, Scanlan said.
