Clearswift goes after SMBs

New product bundle and partner incentives designed to build its SMB business

Security vendor, Clearswift, is targeting the SMB space and offering partners significant incentives around a new product bundle.

Smart Web & Mail bundles Clearswift's MIMEsweeper Web and email appliances at a price point targeting organisations with 50 users or more. Managing director, Peter Croft, said, it had previously aimed the solutions at those with more than 250 users.

"This bundle is designed to benefit mid-tier organisations, such as the smaller accounting or legal firms, who still require high level security but won't be dealing with large integrators," Croft said.

To help drive into SMB, Croft said Clearswift was offering partners substantial incentives.

"We're offering increased discounts for premium partners across the board to the value of around five per cent," he said. "We're also revising our marketing development funds campaign to have a stronger bias towards hands-on activities such as roadshows, and extra deal registration incentives for resellers who actively go out and find new business."

Clearswift is also looking for more partners. The vendor is represented nationally by Loop Technology and Dimension Data, but is also building up regional representation and in each major city. Croft said flagged Perth or Adelaide as burgeoning markets.

In addition to its premium partners, Clearswift has about 20 associate resellers. Croft said the vendor was currently aiming for a 'sweet spot' of 40-50.
