Audio-visual distributor, Hip Gizmos, has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with European vendor, Conceptronic.
The partnership, which signifies the vendor's first foray into the Australian market, gives Hip Gizmos access to a wide range of products, including networking products, hard drives, storage solutions, webcams and cables. Hip Gizmos sales director, Sean Mattheisz, said the variety in Conceptronic's portfolio was the key appeal.
"In addition to the wide gamut of products, we're also happy with Conceptronic's packaging and warranty, and the good presence they have in Europe," he said.
The portfolio fitted well with Hip Gizmos' range, Mattheisz said, and opened up new product lines for the distributor, most importantly of which was networking hardware.
Hip Gizmos is planning an aggressive go-to-market strategy, kicking off with presentations at the CeBit exhibition in Sydney.
"With the backing of a large company in Europe we're confident we can grow Conceptronic's presence in the A/NZ marketplace and compete with the locally established brands," Mattheisz said.
Hip Gizmos was looking for further vendors to add to its stable in both the audio-visual and PC markets, Mattheisz said.
