Digital media specialist, Digistor, has been appointed as the first channel partner for Drastic Technologies. The vendor provides a software solution for media creation and delivery, including features for media capture and import, display, sequencing and output.
Digistor group marketing manager, Mark Richards, said the vendor's software was attractive because it filled a niche in Digistor's turnkey solution.
"We provide technology for edition, I/O boards, decks, cameras and so on, but the Drastic Technologies solution fills a very specific niche and fills out our infrastructure offering," he said.
While Drastic Technologies had sold directly into Australia previously, Richards said the level of complexity involved in the technology meant it was better for everyone involved to access to on the ground support.
Richards said while it was early days in the partnership, and go-to-market strategies had not been finalised, both companies were very positive about the arrangement.
In a release, Drastic Technologies president, Robert F. Brooks, said the vendor was very impressed with the work Digistor had done in the media space with local customers.
