Hallmark wins Gigabyte award

Hallmark Computer International has been honoured as Gigabyte's Excellent Distributor Award for 2001. On their recent visit to Australia, Gigabyte's Tony Liao and Sabrina Chou presented the prize in recognition of the "Outstanding Success in Business Partnership for 2001".

Although the award covers all aspects of the business relationship, it was Hallmark's success in sales of Gigabyte's VGA cards that most impressed the vendor.

Chou said that she was confident that the strong relationship between the two companies would continue over the next 12 months.

Focusing mainly on motherboards and video cards, Hallmark has recently incorporated the new line of Gigabyte keyboards into its multimedia range.

Gigabyte has been strengthening its relationships with its distributors of late after a debacle in March 2001 which saw the vendor part ways with distributor BBF. BBF accused the vendor of saturating the distribution market in Australia, while Gigabyte accused BBF of a breach of contract for allegedly distributing its stock in New Zealand.

Gigabyte is now distributed by Hallmark, Synnex, Rectron and Global Business Technology.
