Aspect Software appoints channel manager

Contact centre software vendor looks to build out local channel

Unified communications vendor, Aspect Software, has recruited Anita Bowtell to the channel manager's post.

Based in the company's Melbourne office, she will be responsible for expanding its partner base and working closely with its existing channel.

Bowtell will intially focus on building the business locally and has so far appointed six partners.

"It is really about getting to know my partners, customers and understanding the markets they work in," she said. "We will also work with them to grow the A/NZ market."

Bowtell singled out market opportunities for partners in the contact centre space within corporate and multinational organisations, and said companies were increasingly looking to set up a contact centre presence in Australia.

Aspect's partners include BT/Syntegra, Call Design, IBM, Lake, Premier Technologies and Telstra Business Systems.

Prior to joining Aspect, Bowtell was business development executive at Polaris Communications and has also worked within Telstra's private and public sector business. She is the president of the Customer Contact Management Association (CCMA) and the founding member of the Asia Pacific Contact Centre Association Leaders (APCCAL).
