ProCurve Networking by HP Positioned in Leaders Quadrant in Leading Analyst Firm's Report

 • 02 April, 2008 12:56

ProCurve Networking by HP today announced it has been positioned in the “Leaders” quadrant in industry analyst firm Gartner Inc.’s Global Campus LAN Magic Quadrant 2008.(1)

According to the Gartner report, “A leader has demonstrated a sustained ability to meet the changing needs for mainstream LAN switching architectures. A leader also has an ability to shape the market and maintain strong relationships with its channels and customers, and has no major gaps in the portfolio.”

Gurkirat Singh, Country Manager – South Pacific, ProCurve Networking by HP commented, “Businesses are increasingly focusing on reducing the total cost of ownership of their networking infrastructure. Our solutions are extremely reliable, cost effective, and have very low ongoing support costs, which has helped us to grow rapidly in Australia and New Zealand over the last two years. We believe that recognition of our leadership will help encourage even more organisations to include ProCurve solutions on their short lists.”

Gurkirat Singh continued, “Our channel program currently includes fifty systems partners across Australia and New Zealand. We are looking to extend our reach over the next year by recruiting an additional twenty five partners. We are particularly looking to focus on partners that will lead with our solutions, and bring specialist skills to the table. This new research will certainly make it more attractive for partners to lead with ProCurve solutions.”

“We consider our positioning in the networking Leaders quadrant by Gartner confirmation of ProCurve’s evolution from a viable industry alternative into an industry leader,” said John McHugh, vice president and general manager, ProCurve Networking by HP. “As the second largest enterprise networking vendor in the world, ProCurve’s dramatic growth over the past decade is attributed to our vision, the outstanding total cost of ownership we offer and our commitment to providing customers a range of best-in-class solutions based on open standards.”
