OCS has partnered with Aladdin to distribute its eToken solutions and build the vendor's brand in Australia.
The distributor's managing director, Con Fiamegos, said Aladdin chose OCS because it had no competing products in its portfolio.
"We've wanted to move into the security space for a while. Aladdin has a proven formula worldwide and we would like to make an impact on the Australian marketplace," he said.
OCS is in the process of determining bundling opportunities with its backup, remote access and virtualisation solutions, which complement Aladdin's eTokens, according to Fiamegos.
Aladdin Asia general manager, Warren Stein, said it had been looking for a value-added distributor with a healthy and active reseller network.
The eToken solution is also distributed in Australia by Triad Group and Computerlinks, and previously the vendor was also represented by LAN Systems (now Westcon Group).
"We still distribute through all save Westcon Group, but there is a lot of ground and vertical markets to cover in Australia," Stein said.
Westcon Group general manager, Wendy O'Keeffe, confirmed the distributor had not represented Aladdin for some time.
Fiamegos said OCS had aggressive plans to take Aladdin's eToken products to market and claimed they had been underexposed locally.
"We're offering good margins for resellers and looking to hire a dedicated channel sales manager. Aladdin also has some high-profile customers in Australia already, and we'll be leveraging that," he said.
OCS will also run a two-day training course on April 15-16 in Sydney for resellers interested in the Aladdin eToken product.
