Digital services provider, Hyro (ASX: HYO), has won a contract with Office National to supply, manage and install IBM's WebSphere Commerce Server.
Under the contract, Hyro will undertake the implementation, customisation and configuration of the WebSphere Commerce Server, a platform that allows the organisation to set-up, operate, and integrate e-business applications across multiple computing platforms using Web technologies.
Hyro chief marketing officer, Richard Lord, said it won the contract in a competitive tender but couldn't disclaim its value or duration. It is the first time Hyro and Office National have formed a partnership.
Hyro was keen to work with Office National because the contract offered a lot of scope to add significant value and services, Lord said. It also strengthened the integrator's position as a digital services provider, he said.
"Once implemented there will be plenty of opportunities to enhance and refine the platform. We find when we engage with clients it's for the long term," he said.
In a statement, Office National CEO, Andrew Boath, said it had chosen Hyro because the company understood the digital environment and doing business in that space.
