Esanda buys 25 per cent of Auto-IT

Auto-IT has received a shot in the arm after automotive finance company Esanda took a 25 per cent stake in the company.

Auto-IT develops a Windows-based dealer management suite, UNITS, which also provides data access and analysis tools for managers, and automatic logging of problems with Auto-IT's help desk over the Internet.

As part of the investment, Esanda, a wholly owned subsidiary of ANZ Bank, will integrate its Web-enabled finance software into UNITS. The package can also be deployed and run over the Internet via a subscription model.

The combined system will boast dealer management as well as asset-leasing and administration capabilities.

It is the first investment of its kind for Esanda. Auto-IT's managing director, Ken Fife, claims the move will launch UNITS into international markets.

"Taking Esanda on as an equity partner has given us the resources to continue to develop world-class products. We are excited about the opportunities to work together, to extend our product range and continue Auto-IT's growth," he said.
