Melbourne-based IT services provider, SMB Technology, is transitioning into a managed services model after deploying Kaseya's Managed Service Edition.
The software is specifically designed for managed service providers looking for a complete view into their customer's IT environments. SMB Technology director, David Benet, said prior to deploying Kaseya, the company worked on a traditional break/fix model.
"I would have arrangements with clients to keep an eye on things with very basic manual processes and whenever they have a problem they would ring up," he said. "With Kaseya, I'm working towards proactive management and am able to find the problems and take care of them before they cause any issues. It also helps minimise the impact on the client."
SMB Technology predominantly services organisations with about 35 seats. Its primary vertical focus is the legal industry. Benet said it also has clients in the training, construction and financial services markets. Since deploying Kaseya, Benet said it had increased the number of opportunities for SMB Technology.
"We have customers across the country. I'm using Kaseya technology to monitor their desktops and servers here locally in Melbourne and interstate," he said. "I am able to do much more work than before and can handle more desktops and servers at a lower cost with my time, and costs with staff that I may have to add."
