Western Australia-based Anything Telephones and Data (AT&D) has become the fourth local IP communications provider to achieve Mitel Platinum Solution Provider status and the first with a direct Perth presence.
AT&D joined the Mitel partner program in January 2006. Prior to that, the integrator primarily sold traditional key system phone solutions, general manager, Lyndon Croot, said.
"We didn't go out and seek accreditation; it was achieved through sales turnout, and the certification of a number of our staff," he said. Since partnering with Mitel two years ago, AT&D's business had doubled in size and shifted away from simple voice products to unified communications solutions, Croot said.
AT&D has 10 engineers and technical staff. All have the ability to engage with and deploy Mitel products. Croot said the integrator spent six months getting familiar with Mitel's products before making sales commitments. It has invested heavily in R&D and marketing initiatives.
"Platinum status creates a profile for us that we haven't had before. It gives us more impact in the marketplace," Croot said. Mitel Platinum Solution Providers also get a extra funding for advertising initiatives.
Telstra Business Systems, Ethan Group and Essential Data and Voice also hold Mitel Platinum status. The vendor also has Authorised Reseller, Silver Solution Provider and Gold Solution Provider partners.
