Infotronics takes on virtualisation management

New vendor deal adds to Infotronics' focus on server-based computing

Virtualisation software vendor, XTS, has appointed Infotronics as its first Australian distributor.

XTS offers enterprise software solutions designed to simplify planning and management tasks for virtualisation and application delivery environments. Infotronics marketing manager, Sara Williams, said XTS products fit in well with the rest of Infotronics' portfolio, adding to its competency and focus around server-based computing.

"We carry a range of products around server-based computing and virtualisation, such as Neverfail, Appsense and Upstream. We have no formalised bundling plans, but it fits in well with other products our customers will be buying," Williams said.

Williams said the two companies would work together on a go-to-market strategy targeting Citrix partners. Infotronics will also provide sales and support.

In a statement, Infotronics technical director, Phil Lancaster, said XTS' analytics tools would help integrators build closer ties to their customers by helping them manage their IT infrastructure and ultimately their business more effectively.

XTS has not had a presence in Australia previously. Infotronics has access to all XTS products.

XTS CEO, Eric Spiegel, said Infotronics' technical capability, focus on virtualisation and A/NZ reseller base the company a strong addition to our growing distribution channel.
