Storage and managed data services vendor, Global Storage, has launched a new partner program. The initiative comes on the back of its new managed services products, DataReady and EnvironmentReady.
The Melbourne-based company's CEO, David Duncan, said it wanted partners that specialised in key verticals, as well as organisations looking for an entry point into the data protection market.
"The partner arrangement offers a quick go-to market strategy and we have got all the collateral, sales kits, information and training capabilities to get partners into this market quickly," he said.
The program consists of four tiers: Authorised, Associate, Advantage and Alliance. Associate partners are required to have at least three sales and pre-sales staff. Advantage level partners need five certified employees.
The Alliance level is specifically for strategic partnerships with OEMs, telcos and hosting providers.
"As partners move through the levels they get more commitment from us in terms of training, rebates and marketing support," Duncan said. "We are looking for partners that can add value - particularly those with a consulting relationship with their clients."
The program also provides partners with lead generation opportunities and access to co-op marketing funds.
Global Storage commercial and marketing manager, Leanne McCormack, said it was looking for select partners at each level.
"We want to find partners that are the right fit for selling these services and can understand the recurring revenue business model," she said.
Duncan said he would like to attract partners that specialised in data protection, business continuity and disaster recovery.
"Managed services are where a lot of the money is for integrators that are struggling with hardware," he said. "We are offering them an easy footprint into developing a managed services division within their company."
