Ingram Micro's head of IBM business, Lisa Youlden, has left the distributor to take up a position with Microsoft.
In her new role, Youlden will manage the software giant's distribution sales across its small and midmarket solutions and partners divisions.
Youlden was with Tech Pacific for many years prior to Ingram's acquisition of the distributor in October 2004. She took three years off to have children before returning to head up the IBM portfolio within Ingram's Solutions Group in June 2006.
Ingram commercial and solutions director, John Walters, said Youlden had done a great job leading its IBM team for the past 18 months and wished her the best.
"Lisa was given a very good offer by a premiere IT company and it was too good to not take," he said.
Ingram is now settling on a direct replacement. Walters said it expected to promote an internal candidate to the role and make an announcement shortly.
