UXC (ASX:UXC) data management subsidiary, e.sens, has formed a reseller alliance with business intelligence vendor, SAS.
e.sens CEO, Neil Currie, said the partnership was driven by a commitment to sales and business development, and strong, existing arrangement with the vendor. Currie also has a personal history with SAS and worked for the company in Europe.
e.sens now has a staff of 14, including four focused on development and sales. The company has designated space for SAS staff across its three offices in NSW, Victoria and the ACT, which are staffed two days a week.
e.sens' focus is on delivering SAS solutions to new market areas through targeted campaigns. Currie pointed to the vendor's SMB solution as a big opportunity and highlighted SMBs and local government agencies as key customers.
"SAS has done really well at developing presence at the upper end, but struggled at the lower end of the market," he said.
SAS Australia alliances and channels director, Janice Willemsen, said e.sens' commitment in NSW, VIC and the ACT would lift the vendor's market presence.
"The key to a successful partnership is to work with people that want to work with you," she said.
SAS launched its channel program late last year and has four resellers across A/NZ. Willemsen was keen to develop a few close long-term successful reseller partnerships.
e.sens is part of UCX's business intelligence division, which also includes e.fab and e.bi.
