UXC's ICT services arm has chalked up a 41 per cent increase in revenue to $295 million for the year to June 30.
UXC Business Solutions CEO, Cris Nicolli, said the revenue growth was off an already large base and illustrated strong, robust market conditions. Its pre-tax earnings were also up by 37 per cent to $30.7 million.
Major contract wins during the past year helped seal the result, Nicolli said, including large government contracts with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Department of Health and Ageing and Department of Defence.
"We used to do a lot of projects in the small to medium business markets but this past year has seen us really take on some large projects," he said. "It's all thanks to hard work and staying close to the clients."
Assisting this year's result were several strategic acquisitions including WA-based communication solutions provider, Icon Communications, and Sydney-based Corporate Performance Management software consultancy, Agave Software.
UXC subsidiary, Red Rock Consulting, also purchased local JD Edwards consultancy, Jigsaw Services, adding significantly to its Oracle business unit results, he said.
Acquisitions were key in next year's business plan, alongside growing existing business units, Nicolli said.
"We've grown the Microsoft solutions business enormously and that will continue," he said. "Oracle, including JD Edwards, will continue to be strong and SAP will be solid."
