Dimension Data has hired Col Rennie as its national services director. He replaces Michael Patroni, who has taken on the NSW solutions manager post.
Rennie will report to COO, Ken Westwood, and will be responsible for the integrator's services business including project management, professional services, managed services and bid management.
Westwood said Rennie would initially focus on understanding Dimension Data's overall business and improving its services capability and client engagement.
"It is all about making sure that we are operationally efficient as a services business and ensuring that when we say we will deliver, we deliver," Westwood said. "In the longer term Col will work to ensure that our services business evolves at least at the speed that the market is expecting us to, if not faster.
"This is about our continued evolution into the services market and getting much more effective in what we do."
Rennie previously spent 10 years at Avaya and was most recently the Asia-Pacific director of quality and customer advocacy. His resume also includes roles at Samsung, Wang and ICL.
