ASX-listed Volante has finalised the merger of its procurement services subsidiaries, AMS and VIT. The combined entity will be known as Volante Systems. Meanwhile, Volante has also renamed its systems integration business, Netbridge, to Volante Solutions.
The consolidation has been described by Volante officials as a branding initiative to remove customer and vendor confusion caused by some Volante businesses competing in the same market.
The move is also expected to reduce operating expenses by cutting down facility costs, logistics and IT infrastructure.
Under the umbrella of the Volante Group, the company hopes to cross-sell IT systems and services as an "all-encompassing" solutions provider.
Hugh Bickerstaff will be the managing director of Volante Systems and current Netbridge managing director David Evans will take the reins at Volante Solutions.
